Well, I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that I managed to put my room back together after tearing it all apart trying to get the computer upgraded yesterday. I was somewhat embarassed with the pics I took yesterday so today I even took the time to clean up my room. See!
And to top it all off, I even got rid of the artistic Coke can sculpture that I was growing on my desktop. I know! Who am I and what have I done with the real Greg?!?!
And now the bad news. The comp still locks up on me when I do certain things, primarily when I play WoW. I think I’ve come the conclusion that the fried power wire that I found yesterday was what had been plugged into the video card in the old case and that whatever power surge fried the cable, managed to partially fry the video card as well. I can’t fully prove it though until I get a the new video card that I have on order and test it out. If things clear up after I install it, then we’ll know what happenned. If not then it’ll be time to see about having a professional look at it and get my Mobo, chip and Ram tested.
