Yes, I’m working on stuff again. I’m currently fiddling with the header but Blogger seems to be having issues and is being ornery with it’s data connection so it’s an uphill battle. I’m giving up for now but I am aware that the blog title doesn’t look quite right. I’ll see if things are better later.

Because I’m a die hard Gilliam fan… I will be seeing The Brothers Grimm as soon as possible… and you should too.
Though in all honesty, I’m a bit iffy on the pairing of Damon and Ledger. I just don’t know how the chemistry between them will work out. But on the bright side, it has Monica Bellucci and, quite frankly, other than Gilliam directing, that’s pretty much reason enough for me to watch it.

Okay, for the time being I’ve added a link to my Amazon Wishlist on the side of the blog for all to see, peruse and laugh at. It’s more a list of things that I want to pick up in the future than a list of things I want people to buy me so please do not feel like I am hoping or expecting any of you to get me anything from it.
I figured I’d stick it up there in case any of my family who’re reading this need birthday or holiday gift ideas. Plus it was something to fit in the links part of the sidebar for now. I may move the link permanently elsewhere in the website or I may take it down altogether once I am done fiddling with the blog. I’m not quite sure yet.
Anyways, I think I’ve blogged more than enough for today so I guess I’ll just shut up and go work on my packing lists so as I can get my belongings down here soon.
Ahah! I’m so glad I have a wife who stares at code all day long. Within 5 minutes of looking at this new blog template, she picked out the glaring error as to why the Recent Posts links on the side weren’t working properly.
*insert gratuitous applause here*
Of course she left it up to me to fix *grumble grumble*, but at least I knew where to look and what to fix thanks to her. And as per the norm, it was something as simple as forgetting to redirect the links to the journal’s proper sub-directory.
Now all I have left to do is play with the template’s built in stylesheet so as it’s not conflicting with my own, re-implement the title header for my blog, figure out exactly what I want to do with the atrociously long list of Archive pages on the right side (and/or the bottom of the page), and fiddle with the commenting page to see if I can get it to conform with the blog’s style and layout.

Well, I got my social security card today *insert obligatory soundbite of cheering crowds here* so I’m officially allowed to work here now. I guess my days as a lazy arsed bum have finally come to an end. I feel like I should have a memorial service for the end of an era or something… eh, maybe I’ll just wait until I actually get a job and can afford to buy a headstone or something.
Here’s hoping I find a decent one that doesn’t even remotely involve the phrase “Do you want fries with that?”

Nothing overly exciting. I’m really just testing some back-end settings on this new template and deciding what I should keep and get rid of and all that.
Don’t mind me while I sit here and play in the mud for a bit.
Now if I can just figure out why the links to each post directly aren’t working properly we’ll be all good for now.
