Bah Humbug!

Did I mention that I turn 30 tomorrow?

Damn. Where does the time go…

Don’t worry though, I won’t put you through the usual meloncholic musings and morose thoughts about one’s mortality that most people seem to ramble on about when they hit those “milestone” years.

Instead…. I bring you the stupidity that is…. NINJA BURGER!

Where they’ll deliver your order in 30 minutes or less….. or they commit seppuku!

The turf war is amusing in the Fun section and the clan quiz is Guaranteed to waste at least 5 minutes of your life…. so enjoy.

Star Trek Screen Test

I found this little link on the web about a Star Trek Computer RPG game that was supposed to come out a few years ago but never did. Apparently it had voice acting from all the original cast and was supposed ot be SOTA for it’s time… for one reason or another it never got made though…

However there are some snippets of some of the CGI work still floating around.

Here’s one of Spock while they were testing the animation on a talking head

Enjoy. It’s rather funny, it would be funnier if it was actually Nimoy’s voice, but hey you can’t have everything now can you?

So long… And thanks for all the fish.

Well. Looks like the little microscopic universal particles known as humanity have passed (or are passing) another milestone in our evolutionary history.

For the first time we are about to have something we made travel beyond the bounds of our solar system.

Voyager I is now about 90 AU (1 Astronomical Unit = The Distance from the Sun to the Earth for the uninformed) from the sun and is very close to passing outside the magnetic grasp of good ol Sol.

Kinda makes you proud to be a microscopic universal particle doesn’t it? We just have to remember what good old Douglas Adams has to say on the subject.

“Space is big. Really really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the drug store, but that’s just peanuts to space.”
