The basic gameplay is short. Minimalistic and feels somewhat constrained in places but the game itself is seamless and regardless of how short certain stages are, it's damn fun from start to finish. The Cell, Creature, Tribal, and Civilization phases are really just a lead up to the Galactic Phase where you get to play interloper alien in the Galaxy.
