What Type of RPG Player Are You?

C’mon! Even I have to admit that I’ve had way too many introspective and bleargh posts lately. I think it is past time for a side trip on the Amusing Waste of Time Express, destination: RPG Town. While this quiz is primarily geared towards the tabletop geeks, I’m sure those of you who play online games can appreciate it as well.

Enjoy

What Type of RPG Player (Not Character) Are You?

You scored as: Storyteller

The Storyteller is in it for the plot: the sense of mystery and the fun of participating in a narrative that has the satisfying arc of a good book or movie. He enjoys interacting with well-defined NPCs, even preferring antagonists who have genuine motivations and personality to mere monsters. To the Storyteller, the greatest reward of the game is participating in a compelling story with interesting and unpredictable plot threads, in which his actions and those of his fellow characters determine the resolution.

With apologies to Robin Laws.

  1. Hrrm. Worked earlier for me (obviously). You’re right though it’s not working now. Try it tomorrow I guess. Looks like it’s something wonky on their end.

    EDIT – It’s working again, as of 00:05 Dec 18, ’07.

  2. Okay, it worked. Neat.

    I too was a storyteller, at a whopping 95%.
Second was character player at 80%.
Oddly enough, tactician came in third.
    Specialist was my lowest.

  3. pfft I don’t need to take the crappy little quiz. storyteller, tactician meh I’m a kender! And damn proud of it! 😉 Oh and you weren’t using that were you?

  4. I was being facetious.
Though if you always want to play the same type of character, I’d say you were a Specialist

That’s right, you heard me. I said you were SPESHUL! As in Short bus special 😀
